We all know summer is close when the weather is nice enough for picnics in the park, there are no school schedules to worry over and June’s Studio art has arrived! This month’s release brings you everything you need to document summer beach or boating trips, birthday celebrations, Native American and Americana themes. We've also got several new all purpose and on trend collections for whatever other projects you cook up! Let’s take a look!
Whether your favorite places to play in the water are in New England, California, Florida or the local lake or river— you’ll love the design possibilities of the “Sea Breeze” art series. From the “Sea Breeze Add On” with its nautical themed papers and embellishments, to the pre-designed page edges of our new “Sea Breeze Borders,” to the instant background building of the “Sea Breeze Scatterz,” this set of matched collections brings all you need to capture your family’s dock-side days. In addition, turn to this set of collections anytime for baby or toddler boy books and projects.
Our next two collections were chosen for theme, contemporary color palettes and their design style. “My Sibling My Friend” for example, is full of the pale turquoises and oranges that are popular wedding color combinations right now. Use this collection for family gatherings of all kinds (including weddings); but don’t overlook the chance to document relationships between brothers and sisters, which was the original purpose of the collection. “Everyday Memories Two” is also a contemporary styled collection with its stripes, chevrons and gray, mint and yellow color scheme. Look again and you’ll see cameras and music to use for pages and projects for many specific summer activities like vacations or music recitals.
“American Indian” and “Vintage Americana 1” by Roxanne Buchholz both offer slices of history that make welcome additions to our Studio art. Long requested, “American Indian” offers a slice of Native American culture with its beautifully presented historical artifacts. Use Roxanne’s tasteful collection if this arena is your heritage or if you’re making a south western trip to celebrate that part of our nation’s history or art. “Vintage Americana 1” is the perfect collection for upcoming patriotic holidays and life stories from the World War II era. Full of ration books, military medals, buttons and Americana word art; take a peek and see what a rich contribution it could make to your own grandfather’s story.
New from Peppermint Creative, “Birthday Boogie Papers” and “Birthday Tickets” are coordinated collections that make birthday pages and projects fast and fun. In delicious colors and patterns, these collections are ones you’ll turn to again and again as you celebrate the lives and passing years of family and friends.
Last, but not least—and possibly one of our most requested subject matter collections—is our “Hero Birthday” art. Super-hero colored from start to finish, this collection does dual duty both as a fun birthday collection and to record New York or local visits to see movies or stage productions of “Spider Man.” Carefully chosen to accommodate other super heroes beside Spidey, this will be a favorite of boys and girls of all ages.
You’ll find these all ten of these new collections featured in June’s Studio art, but be sure to check out the Template Gallery too. Our Creative Team has been busy populating the Gallery with a broad range of templates made from these ten new collections. Each will jump start your personal creativity and give you lots to help celebrate family and friends.
