Whether your style is classic or contemporary, you’ll find the art you need to make meaningful keepsakes tucked inside your Heritage Makers Studio. Studio contains over 90,000 pieces of digital art as well as more than 10,000 templates—and the numbers get larger with each month’s release. Let’s take a look at what you’ll find in the new April art offering, along with a few fun templates from this year’s Creative Team.

Check out these two new and very contemporary collections from in-house designer, Anna Gehmlich Bates. Perfect for a more modern take on family history and day-to-day scrapbooking, these collections boast vibrant colors and clean-lined shapes and patterns. “Freshly Picked” and “Freshly Picked the Family Tree Collection” offer trees, labels, journaling, and more in a style sure to suit the most up-to-date aesthetics.

Kari Pieratt used the two “Freshly Picked” collections to make her bright and contemporary “Fresh Picked Family Yearbook,” template 106197. Full of crisp color and pre-designed journaling cards, this yearbook is sure to be one of your family’s new favorites.

With the fast approach of Mother's Day, the “Labor of Love” collection, with its maternal theme and bountiful word art, will be ideal for your Mother’s Day projects.

Showing off the versatility of the “Labor of Love” collection are two templates by Roxanne Buchholz. “Good Mothers” is a 12 x 12 scrap page, template 106219, while “Good Mothers Canvas” is an identical creation in a 20 x 20 canvas, saved in the Template Gallery as template 106220.

If you’re planning a recipe book or card set for Mom this year, look no further than our “Baked to Perfection Borders,” “Baked to Perfection Frames” and “Baked to Perfection Plaid Papers.” Their cooking theme and ready-to-use design makes them perfect for all kinds of food-related projects that Mom, Grandma, or even your college-bound teen will love.

Roxanne Buchholz used the “Baked to Perfection” art collections to make these delightful, double-sided family history recipe cards. “Baked to Perfection Recipe 1,” template 106218, and “Baked to Perfection Recipe 2,” template 106217are both 6 x 4 invitations that offer spaces for family and food photos. And, while Roxanne has used them for some of the best loved recipes in her family, these templates are just as useful for contemporary recipes.

“Flower Garden Mini Add-on” and “Flower Garden Borders” will be especially welcome this Mother’s Day. Full of feminine color and design, these collections are a part of our Basic Art offerings and can be accessed by anyone. Use the clustered borders on their own for an almost instant Mother’s Day card, or combine with the flowers and frames from the mini add-on. Either way, you have design at its easiest and prettiest.

Kari Pieratt’s “Grown with Love Canvas” is the perfect project to show off Basic collections “Flower Garden Mini Add-on” and "Flower Garden Borders.” It’s template 106198 and is designed as a 20 x 20 canvas.

Shanna Vineyard also used “Flower Garden Mini Add-on” and "Flower Garden Borders” to make this 12 x 12 scrap page she calls “Bloomin Beauty.” It’s template 106240 and shows how even a smaller collection can have significant impact on good design.

April art brings you one more lovely Basic collection—this one by in-house Marketing and Communications Manager, Cynthia Coulon. “Paper Party” is chock full of on-trend papers along with a smattering of contemporary elements that, pulled together, make incredibly clean and gorgeous projects.

For two gorgeous projects using Cynthia’s “Paper Party” collection, look no further than “Sweet Memories Paper Party: Girl,” template 106195 and “Sweet Memories Paper Party: Boy,” template 106196, which are both 12 x 12 canvases by Karilyn Pieratt. Stunningly fresh and super sweet, these canvases would be a huge hit with any Mom, Aunt or Grandma.

Another huge and welcome collection that is part of April’s release is “Portraits of the Past” by Roxanne Buchholz, our Creative Team Lead. With well over 100 antique elements and associated word art pieces, this is the collection to look to for life stories, family history, and any project with a historical style or subject matter. And, while Roxanne’s elements have a decidedly antique look, the word art will be at home on any project featuring family.

Check out how beautifully the “Portraits of the Past” collection translates into templates. Your family would truly cherish either the 12 x 12 scrap page (106221) or the 20 x 20 canvas (106222) both titled “Memory Keeper” that Roxanne Buchholz designed with this collection!

“Sick Days Borders” by Lindsay Jane of Pickleberrypop is another clustered border set that will be released in April. It’s the perfect design set for fast and easy get well cards or pages about the illnesses and injuries that make up so much of our day-to-day lives.

Showing off “Sick Days Borders” is this 12 x 12 scrap page by Sandra Dovre called “Not So Best Day Ever.” It’s template 106257 and shows off the day the family found itself taking care of a sunburned school child instead of taking a vacation.

“A Focus on Spring” by our own Roxanne Buchholz is a huge collection full of clean and crisp ways to document life, all made in gentle and versatile colors that can add value to a page or project of any kind at any time of year.

Michelle Bell’s 20 x 16 canvas, “Right Here Right Now” template 106263, showcases the versatility of the “Focus on Spring” collection. With its soft hues and contemporary elements, this collection was just the right choice for this mother and son canvas.

With twelve new Studio collections—three of them Basic—April brings you yet another month of search-enabled, stored-on-our-drives, accessible-anywhere, multi-style art. Enjoy it all with your Club HM membership and watch for these new templates along with many others!
