Why not get your kid(s) involved in the card-sending fun by having them draw a picture of what Christmas means to them (... maybe give them a little help with the real meaning of Christmas... :)) and then take a picture of the picture, or even better, Scan the picture, and then put it on the front of your holiday card? Then everybody who receives your card will get a taste of what your future budding artist is capable of.
