The tiles themselves are very simple and inexpensive to make. All you need is a 6x6 tile from any hardware store (usually about 70cents), some ModPodge (I got mine from Michael's with my 40% off coupon) and a sponge brush.
- Cut the 12x12 page into four 6x6 pages with a straight cutter, or carefully with scissors. Trim it to exactly fit the surface of the tile.
- Use the brush to spread a THIN layer of ModPodge onto the clean tile (if you make it thick, it will take longer to dry, and may warp the paper)
- Place the waiting page onto the waiting tile and press it smooth from the center, out.
- Use the sponge-brush to add a layer of ModPodge as a varnish. You can play with the textures - try "stipple" by going up and down with the sponge, or create brush strokes :)
- Let dry while you find a place to display it!
