Drag desired photo onto the pasteboard.
Using the layout tab in the tool box, size one side of your photo (either width or height) to .83 inches.
Drag the photo over the grid to fit the inside.
You may leave the photo hanging out over the sides of the grid or crop to the grid. Be sure that the desired image fits inside the grid.
Use the preview inside Studio editor. You will see a red box around your photo. This area will be cut off. If you want to see this part of your photo, adjust accordingly. But remember, in order for your image to print correctly (without any white space) some part of your photo must reach all sides of the grid.
Bad example 1 – members of the picture get cut out
Bad example 2 – all sides of the model’s face get cut off
Bad example 3 – edge of picture goes to red in preview but not to edge of grid sides; this picture will print with white space around edges
Tip – If you don’t want the picture to stretch all the way to the grid (you want all elements of the photo to print), you can do one of two things:
1. You can put a paper behind the photo that stretches to all sides of the grid.
2. Put the same photo behind desired image. Stretch the behind photo to all sides of the grid and blur it.

Perfect example – this shows the perfect picture for a jewelry project. The photo reaches to all sides of the grid and shows in Studio ediltor preview that the desired elements will print.
