Digital Images come in different types, 2 of the most standard of which are JPEGs and PNGs. The biggest difference in terms of digital scrapbooking is that a JPEG is a solid, square/rectangular image, and that a PNG image can have shape, even holes that are clear. We've worked with PNGs in the past using Digital Stamping, but with Heritage Makers' new art collection "Holiday Basics" by Jill Means, we've taken PNGs to a whole 'nother level! Because of these shapes/holes, a PNG background is a lot more flexible to work with - you can change the color of just ONE part of your background paper, i.e. either the pattern or the background, instead of tinting the entire pattern. So your whites can stay white. :) With this added flexibility comes thousands of more options! If you have a pattern that you love, you're no longer limited to just the colors that it already comes in, or the colors that you can tint it to. In addition to the background papers and the Christmas trimmings, there are some really great embellishments that will add to any project! Just a simple page, but with lots of options for the background! All of the art on this page is from Jill Mean's new collection "Holiday Basics", free for all users. Have Fun!
